Momentum Tape Reader Trough (click pics to study)

[showing: Trough/Crest (generated) Support Levels with dBias filtering]

[showing: price applying into 21 point above fence, but dropping below cup level. Price has to hold at the fence else trouble, and in this case, 1st hit of the fence since the break above should be gold. Move up to 21 point magnet is standard, move beyond anticipated . . . break-down failure]

[showing: price applying into 21 point below fence, not much relationship support here, proof-point will be crossing the cup level at 21. Always looking for momentum at 21 decision point. Rising above the crest momentum cup, back above the fence, follow thru w/momentum expected . . . break-down failure]

[showing: price applying into 21 point above Fib Vectoring (from prior 21 point), any break-down has to get below Thermometer Cup level, Fence, and prior cycle (180*) Vectoring. The fence held which made Proof-Point the Cup level, a move below fence here, holding at the vector would have made the fence the Proof-Point for upside continuation. (Notice in the top of the pic, the 270* vector (2 cycles back) is what held price.)]

[showing: price below cup level right at prior cycle's fib vectoring at 21 time, is stage set for upside move. Thermometer's position Relative to prior Thermometer Fib Vectoring is key to understanding price retracement levels vs break-down]

dll parameter settings for vector pics_13 tick chart

The MTR_Trough dll displays the support levels of the market generated at both the Trough 'Shock-Point' and Crest 'Shock-Point' of the wave. Directional Bias output is selectable by user, using any Price/Time Fib Fence desired.

Trough Mechanism: The rising 'Look-Ahead's' (Momentum & Time), of the trough turn, are tracking position relative to the Fib Structure. When the mLkAhd exceeds momentum (trough shock-point), two Fib levels are locked: 1. External, the last Fib level tracked below LkAhds and 2. Internal, the Fib level between mLkAhd and TmLkAhd. The 'External' price level becomes a very strong 'Cup' of support under the Crest phase of the wave. When broken, this support level becomes resistance. Specifically . . . price movement below is breaking down with dropping momentum . . . a stage set for lower hi's and lower lo's. dll parameter settings for this pic_13 tick chart

Trough Thermometer: Cup of the thermometer is the external Fib level described above. The thermometer itself is a count structure, the right side of which is a 21 count from shock-point. The left side is 16 counts from shock-point, ie Time. This 'count' zone serves to consistently remind you, as a trader, to monitor what price is doing as it 'applies' into the 'decision point' 21.

Fib Vectoring: This '21 External Fib Point', this 'Fib_Tm/Pr Decision Point' is extremely useful as a vector anchor. Users can select whatever Fib level they want to project to, or two auto selection modes are available, either Crest or Trough. When it comes to support/resistance and fences/vectors, it has been found that using the opposing force provides consistent results. So, with this Trough tool, I choose Crest Fib for the auto setting.

Learn This Tool Fundamental:

Trough Tm21_FibPr Point is a very strong magnet. Price consistently moves to this 'Break-Down Potential' level . . . and makes a decision.

The MTR_Trough dll can be set to display the following Support features of the Burton Momentum Wave:

1.Trough (generated) Sup Thermometer Cup level (trough mLkAhd rising above price, marks external Fib level and 16 to 21 time zone)

2.Option to display Crest (generated) Sup Momentum Cup level (crest mLkAhd dropping below price)

3.Option to display Crest (generated) Fib Vectoring (Tm21_FibPr anchor to user selected Fib Pr/Tm)

4.Option to use Auto Directional Bias output filtered by user selected Fib Price/Time Fence (shown in examples)

5.Option to display Fib Fences: Trough, Crest or both

6.Option to display Fold-Over levels of the Fib Fences

7.Option to display Trend vectoring from Thermometer to Thermometer

8.Option to display Time Fences: Trough, Crest or both (overrides Thermometer display)

9.Option to display the Momentum Wave

  Remember This Fundamental of Learning:

Each of the vibrational components of this Wave Based tool provide

a unique 'Squared' and 'Phi Rich' structure to any chart. Successful trading comes when two things are understood:

1.The structural RELATIONSHIP of the above features (specifically created by price action) and . . .

2. Price's position in 'Relation' to this 'RELATIONSHIP'

It is suggested and highly recommended that users add only one structure and concept to their trading at a time. Complete clarity of

the trade precepts (action points) of each must be understood and internalized before a 2nd can be added successfully.
